I got home at 9:40pm. I took the muni with a friend. We haven't been sat side by side for a lone time. Two years may be?
ok, let's back to the concert topic. There were only some tens audiences came to see the performance, and lots of empty seats. I think the performers were more than the audience. That was sad. Anyway, most of the audiences are the parents/ siblings. I felt nervous when I got on stage, but I calmed down after the lights were turned off and I could barely see any audience. Though we made some mistake on the way, our performance went pretty okay overall. I like the music the advanced band played. One of their songs was composed by the teacher. wow~ it was sounded nice. I didn't take any picture, coz all my stuff was in the class room, which was locked. The concert was ended way earlier than I had expected. It took only one hour and 15 minutes. Well, it was just a little winter concert bring everyone some Christmas spirits; and at the same time, it was our final exam.

Winter Concert

I'll be performed in the winter concert at Wed night=tomorrow. I'm in the beginning band, and I'm one of the four flute players. We'll play four songs/pieces at the concert. I feel a little bit nervous, but I know I won't be alone on the stage. ^-^ ........but flute is kind of hard to play, I'm still learning on how to put air straight into the opening without making the "shu shi shi" sound which is so annoying. Anyway, I have made some progress. ^0^

I finally finished all the college stuff and sent out applications. Though I have applied to UC, I think I might go to community college since it offers lots of financial aid and has a good program that I'm interested in. I can go to community for 2 years and then transfer to UC for another two years. I"m still thinking whether I should choose nursing as my major or the other. I know I still have a year to think about it, but it bothers me really bad. Dad might be disappointed that I'm not going to be a pharmacist...(sign)

Today the Econ teacher asked us about what kind of job we would chose after college or high school. I said pharmacist/nurse, and then he asked:"Can you work with sick people?" and "you want to work with sick people?" (some questions like that) I nodded. However, I don't really like the way he said "sick people", it sounds like the patients are germ or something bad/ horrible. I don't like it. No one wants to be sick or has health problem. You may be look fine, but who knows you have a sick heart/mind?
I don't mind to work around "sick" people, coz I'm sick, too.

无言

难得有个三天假期，我竟然在这时后生病！鼻塞得我呼吸困难，鼻水流个不停，头有点儿沉沉的，唉。人家只穿两三件衣服，我却包得像只北极熊还觉得有点儿凉。不过话说回来，天气的却转冷了。。。大家要好好注意身体别着凉。
下个星期六我有个piano recital要出席，这阵子都有努力练琴， 希望到时别忘豆芽出槌，一切顺利就感谢上天。

The juniors won the spirit week.

There was a small earthquake on Tuesday Night. The building was shaking. Thank god it stopped after several seconds.

Someone pulled the fire drill on Tuesday while I was doing a lab which took me nearly two hours to finish it. Someone also pulled the fire drill on Halloween day. What a boring trouble-maker.

We are reading Shakespeare's "Hamlet" for English class. I don't like any work from Shakespeare who was addicted to tragedy badly. Moreover, the old English drives me crazy.

While I was eating a cherry lolipop on a bus, a young chocolate has a fight with an old milk. What a nice weather to have a fight. Why couldn't they get along peacefully like milky chocolate?

2007 Bell Game Rally

Yesterday was the day of our annually bell game rally and bell game between Lincoln High and Washington High. The rally took place in the South Gym. Like every year we separated into Rally A and Rally B because of the South Gym can't fit in 2500 students. I was in Rally A. The third period teacher had to help out setting up the place, and thus the whole band class reported to the South Gym. I sat on a bench and surround by many red and "gold" balloons. You know what, I had been waiting for this day for three years. The red+gold balloons are only for seniors.

At the end of 3rd period, thousand of students crowed in and filled all the benches. The school first introduced i several alumni who invited to come as judges for the rally. Then the drill team performed. And the several teachers performed a short skit to show the honor and spirit of Lincoln H.S. The most interesting part was that the driver ed. teacher Mr.Merillian dressed up with a white wig and a black short shirt. Everyone said he has hot legs. Mr. Merillian participate in the skit for the rally every year. However, this year's skit was not as great as last year's. After cheerleaders' performance, the American football coach started to introduce the football players and the cheerleaders gave out flowers to each one of them. Then the real rally contest began. The juniors went first, the sophomores went second, the freshmen went third, and us the seniors went last. The freshmen didn't do so good. I couldn't hear what the sophomores were yelling/saying/singing. The junior did pretty good. But I still think that us were the best!

And then the whole school sang the school sang together. I liked the Lincoln hym very much since the first time I heard it in the freshmen orientation. I loved its melody. Though the seniors lost to the juniors in the spirit week, I believe that we'll win the rally. We'll see when the result in next week.

It has been a month since the the last time I updated my blog. It's because I don't know what to write/say and I'm getting lazy.

On these two days you can see several combat planes flying across the blue sky with white track leave behind. At night you can enjoy the colorful firework. And these are all because of the Columbus Day.

Yesterday I recevied an email from an old friend in China. We haven't talk to each other like five years. yeah, five year is a long period time. I was so glad to hear from her again.

second week of school

The Back to School Dance has been canceled for lacking of students' interest. I have been in Lincoln for three years, and this is the first time I heard a dance have to cancel for this funny reason. Though I have never been in any of the school dances.

Mr.Kim, our Literary teacher, told us that he and his wife have decided to adopt a child from Korea. They don't know the child is a boy or girl yet. When Mr.Kim said that he don't mind to have a twins, someone yelled out: "Buy one get one free!" HA, it's funny. But Mr.Kim said no, because he has to pay for double. I never knew that adopting child need so much money. Mr.Kim said his wife want to name their child "Puppy Kim" coz she loves puppies. However, Mr.Kim wants his child to become a football player, and "Puppy Kim" would sound weird and ridiculous when the reporter reports the outlets. It's a cute name, but not cool for a strong football player.

Today Flora told me a joke, and it's about an atom and a bartender.
An atom went to a bar, and the bartender asked him:"why're you down?"
Atom:"coz I lost an electron."
Bartender:"Are you sure?"
Atom:"I'm positive!"

back to school week

This back to school week was kind of busy. Chatting with old friends to see how were they going in the summer, getting use to the new schedule for new school year, meeting new teachers, learning new classmates' names, and turning on the brain for homework and all took away all me energy. I just took a name quiz on Friday for Economics class. The teacher tried to make it harder by messing up the order, but it wasn't that hard. My English teacher is a Korean, and he was graduate from Standford, woo~ Though he admitted the rumor that he's a hard teacher, he is very humorous. On Wednesday, he made us sitting in a semicircle and read a children story to us as a lesson for teaching us how to read. The story was called "where the wild things are." Most of the students read it before, but I never seen it. That story is short and easy to read, however, it has a good deep lesson. The funny thing was that the teacher made us to say "wooo~(to praise sth)," "aah~~~(realize for sth)" and "uh~(have pity for sth)" while he was reading. How childish and foolish...but everyone had a great time. Wednesday we went to get our US Citizenship certificates, so now we are citizens! I don't really like "cutting" classes...coz I have to make up works later on...hey! My French teacher didn't even notice that I was absent! hehehe~I'm a good student~that's why!
We had a class meeting on Friday. The Principle told us do not scare the Freshmen by telling them about Freshmen Friday which isn't exist in any school. By the way, there are some other funny rumors in Lincoln HS, such as there's a pool on the roof (I heard that when I was a freshman too!), there's no way to go to the roof though; the Driver's aid room is down on the 27th Ave (our school is on 24th Ave) which is impossible and hard to believe, but some student did believe it, on my goodness (that class room is actually on the upper floor in South Gym, but no one would notice that's a exit door to go up there); and something about the police station ...

不知为啥，这几天总是呆不住家，总是想出去走走，所以今天拉了敏儿上街。太阳很猛诶，又热又很想睡，可是我们还是逛了三个钟，算是运动一下。

明天要很早起床，7点钟要出门，啊~~~~~~~~我怎么起得来？可是还是得在8点钟前到学校，4个小时的workshop for JumpStart（帮助新九年级学生融入校园之类的program), 连续两天。 星期四Annie&Jason要去学校（高中）为freshmen举办的orientation和认识学校环境什么的; 我也要去，很兴奋呢~因为可以看表演那！^___^

歌声与微笑

因为art center 的老师想要一些中文儿歌，我就上网找了下，结果给我找到了很多小时候听/常国的老儿歌。

当我看到“歌声与微笑”这几个字时，一段很久童年回忆暮然历历在目，有多就没听过这首歌乐呢？还记得在小学四年级的时候参加的大合唱比赛，我们就是唱“歌声与微笑”和“，得了第二名。 我们本来可以拿第一名的，只是唱完下台时那个工作人员一下子要我们往这边走又一下子要我们往那边走，结果弄到程序不顺畅，被扣分了。其实之前我们有说好往哪边下台的，只是我们不不得不听工作人员的话，那里是人家的地盘啊！不过最重要的是老师没生我们的气，好加在，音乐老师发起火来很恐怖的。
还有，我还找到了"中国少年先锋队队歌"!这首“遗失”已久的老歌！当年好像是二年级的时候，我掉了那本红色的小册子，里面印着这首歌的歌词和一些什么规范守则的，那时我很后悔，因为我挺喜欢这首歌的。

painting a living room

In these two days I was working on a part-time job from Enterprise. Jun and her two friends and I were painting the stair walls and a living for an old lady. Her voice was so young in the phone that we once thought she was a madam around thirty/forty; however, she is around seventy =.=+... Americans' voice are always away younger than their actual age. Anyway, yesterday we painted her stair walls in green and door and windows in white. An old man (I guess he's her brother, cos he doesn't seem close enough to say he is her husband, so...) bought us four expensive($5.99 each) "sandwiches" for lunch, how nice ~ I liked it! It tasted good~ But my friends didn't really like it, they said the breads was hard like rocks(Vietnamese sandwiches?) . first we thought they would bought the square-liked sandwiches. Mr. also bought us two bags of chips. @_@ lalalala~~~~~ we worked from 9:00 at the morning to 4:00 afternoon, but we had lots of fun~ We went home together, coz we all live in Chinatown.

Today three of us finished all the painting for the living room, Jun wasn't here coz she has something else to do. Mr. wasn't here also. So Ms. lady went out at twelve to buy lunch for us, and guess what she bought? square sandwich! Yuhua called it the SOFT sandwich! Yuhua and Yuri are the two new friends that I made in these two days, they are nice people~

A: what do you mean? before I liked Jazz and R&B, currently I'm interested in Rock music. I like drums cos they are beating like heart (beat). bass controls the breathing. guitar and vocal...I don't know yet...

美丽的东西-音乐

我喜欢美丽的事物。用五官去感受让人身心愉快的美丽，而我最常用的是视觉和听觉，也就是眼睛和耳朵啦。最喜欢的就是透过耳朵，让那美丽的声音渗透进皮肉里的心，那种快要融化的感觉，无法用语言去形容。
老一辈的总是无法接受这种音乐，他们总是说这种音乐太疯狂，很嘈杂，很刺耳。。。家里的母亲大人还说他们那种甩头方式太乱来，很容易甩掉寿命。。。前几晚因为母亲大人说了几句批评的话，我忍不住地就对她吼："你不知道也没有试过去了解，既然对那没认识没深入了解，那就不要那么肯定的下结论!" 事后我知道当时自己是冲动了点，说话也不该太重，可是我不后悔说了那些话。
我有个奇怪的爱好/习惯，就是喜欢听自己听不懂歌词的歌。我喜欢的是音乐的本身，至于歌词是啥，我一点也不在乎。只要那首歌的音乐好听，vocal的声音好听，就算他唱的全是粗口，歌词全是骂人的话或是诅咒的脏言，我也会觉得很好听，心花朵朵开~(因为我听不懂啊~) 也可能是因为听不懂的关系吧，那些歌的新鲜度比较持久。 中文歌只要听过两三次就记住了歌词，开了音乐就朗朗上口跟着唱（虽然五音不全），可是很快厌倦。
我还有很多珍藏的好音乐想要摆上来，我恨不得全把它们布满这个blog，想想也实在是太乱来，所以啊~ 我每隔一段时间就会替这里换一首，希望会有人喜欢^-^

Senior Protrait

This afternoon I went back to school to take the senior portrait. I came in the ROTC room around 2:40, and I met two friends. Vivian cured her hair and wore make-up which made her looked very nice. Anyway, we lined up to confirm the appointment and paid $65 ($50 for the pursue of the portrait, $15 for the session fee). The girl outfit is a V-opened, black short top/fabric/I don't know, cos all you'll see in the yearbook is the upper shoulder part. And the guy outfit of course is the formal black suit. I sat there and had nothing to do till an old lady dressed me up, and it was an hour later. Both the old lady and the Photographer don't know how to pronounce my Chinese name and asked others for help. And right the way I knew she/he was searching for me. I already got used to it, cos my name is very hard to pronounce in English and it has a weird/rare structure of alphabets. yeah, rare and weird. But it was kinda entertaining to see the teachers/adults/elderly have a little hard time and confusion just because of my “strange” name. However, there still has few exceptions. yeah, few. I'm not mean to be mean, it's just a part of what we called "life." confuse? me 2 !
Now I don't know what I'm talking about.
oh, anyway, let's continue the topic........yeah, the senior portrait...
ok, I sat on the a soft bench covered by some type of fabric, and the photographer,who looks so familiar to me( I guess he's one of our school teachers...), kept telling me to tilt my chin down a little or moved the face side way a little bit or moved the body a little forward......but I don't know how little is a little....=_=........"ok, perfect, great, perfect, looks good, don't move, perfect"....anyway, he took about 6~7 photos of me, and that was it.
Some people took photos of wearing a red gown and holding the square cap......pretty, but it costs more $$$.... $_$

Cloudy day

When I look outside the window, the first thing catching my eyes is that grey white cloudy sky. It's nothing special or should be surprised, coz yesterday was sunny. No any weather could stay long in San Francisco, know why? cuz the wind would carry the clouds and pollution and all down to Oakland, so most of time you could see a dark cloud on the top of Oakland........I still remembered that the whole class was laughing out loud like crazy when they told by the teacher.....you should see my expression......what a bunch of shameless seniors and juniors..........

胡言乱语之谎言

最近的日常生活没什么好写，只好放神游太空看会想出些什么...
今天的题目是：谎言

世界上有没有人从没说过一句谎言呢？真的好想知道，也好想目睹这稀有生物。曾几何时我学会了说谎，又是曾几何时我失去了诚实， 想不起来， 就像遗忘了记忆般，12岁以前的事都想不起来了。不只是谁说过，被遗忘了的回忆一起都藏在心中一个盒子里，只要有一把对的钥匙去打开，随时都可能想起来。话说回来，谎言究竟是什么东西，使盖住万物的原貌的黑布，还是布满钉子的陷阵？就算本人不愿，在被逼急时，还是会说谎。一旦说过一次，就会有第二次，第三次，第四次。。。永无止境地。。。那个时候，在镜子的映像中看到的，只是一双无光失灵的眼睛。
人老了，脸上的那双经过漫长岁月的眼睛会变成怎么样呢？
老花，看到的都是模糊不清，迷迷糊糊，朦朦胧胧。。。为什么？ 很多原因呵~ 你能想到多少个呢。。。

Lat Sat. I went to Jenny's birthday party. She always described me as the good Jenny and she is the bad Jenny. That was funny. I'm not as good as she thinks. Anyway, I met some of her friends, and they were nice people. I also met a middle school classmate. We talked about how other middle-school classmates have been changed and how surprised we were. We were also chatting about school , summer plans, Mandarin, songs and other stuffs.

Last week, I received several elementary friends' e-mails. I was so happy and surprised. They sent me some photos they took with friends. They have been changed a lot in these years ! I almost couldn't recognize them. They said they missed me. ^-^ me too~~~

I just finished watching the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005). The factory was amazingly beautiful and fantastic! Mr. Willy Wonka was quite interesting, too! I think the author was inspired by the story "The Candy House,” which was about a brother and a sister caught by an old witch when they were eating her candy house. sweet~~~~~~~

Summer summer!

My summer begins from this second! WOo~~~I have lots of things wanted to do in this summer　First is to learn how to swim so then I can pass the swimming test. Second is to prepare for SAT and ACT. Fourth is to learn cooking or baking cake or something. Fifth is to visit several places that attracted me long time ago. Sixth is to learn sewing dress or dolls or whatever. Seventh is to drown myself in the sea of book. Eighth is to get in touch with old friends. Ninth is to watch two free movies with Annie. Tenth is to learn playing tennis and lose fat (not lose weight, but fat/lipid；I have rarely done any exercise since last year I full filled the requirement of two years of P.E.) But believe it or not, I haven't gain much weight, not even 1lb, in this Junior year. Anyway, Annie needs to lost some weight. She is only few lbs lighter than me.

Middle school Graduation

Today, Annie and Jason are graduated from middle school. I went to their graduation with Mom. Their graduation was so boring and plain that I almost fell asleep. it was finally over after few hours of sitting. I took some pics for them afterward. Annie seem so exciting and happy, but Jason blacked his face like hell. He didn't want to take any pic, but Mom forced him to. He didn't even want to wear his grant for one more sec. What was wrong with him? Anyway, we went home after simply taking some photos for memory.　I met Queenie, one of friends I made in an art center last summer. I haven't met her since the Karaoke contest in March. We were so happy meeting each other again and all. She was coming for her sister's graduation too. We had a nice chatting on the way home. She surely is a nice, funny person to talk to.

a bad day

Today is a really BAD day for me. Everything was going wrong. I'm so depressed. I know that I shouldn't be upset on those "little" things, but it just hard to get over this low mood. I feel like something stunk in my throat making me sick. you know what，　I just came back from a neighbor's apartment; he asked me to help him fixed the computer. 　*sign-_-* 　I couldn't even fix my PC, how could I fix yours? I already told him last time that my PC was died on my hands. Mom already told his wife, who always is the one come to asking for help, that I knew nothing on computer, but that old lazy just ignored it and said I can do it. Oh god, where did that confidence come from? They drove me crazy. I really want to tear this kind of fake neighbor relationship apart.
anyway, I have to go for my dinner now.

I'm sick. I catch a cold and have a headache this morning. My brain doesn't work well today. I went to 3rd period class instead of homeroom. no wonder the seats were changed and I saw some strange faces.
we watched film in 6th period. At first Mr. Gin asked a girl to pick a film out of four. Those DVD were covering with white paper so no one knows what they are. THat girl couldn't make a choice. So then I came in, and Mr. Gin told me to pick one. I stared at them for few seconds and then picked up the one with a number "2" written on it. Later I got informed that the film is called "The Open Season." It was a funny, cartoon film.Most students liked it. I was so glad that I didn't pick a film that would bore us to death. We'll finish the film tomorrow.

CST Week

This week is CST(California Standard Test) week.
Mon.--English (last year's test was harder...)
Tues--Math (it was ok.)
Wed--History (I'm suck at history.)
Thur--science (it will be my 2nd time taking bio test.)

Fri--May Feast!!! I'll be there helping our group to sell ice cream.

Our principle announced that if 80% of homeroom have perfect attendance in these four test days, then he will dye his hair! If we have up to 90% perfect attendance, then he will dye his hair any color we picked!!! He's too crazy about us. I wonder how many student would take his offer. I still remembered that he wore a lion custom on Halloween and visited popped in class. It was so funny!

Because of the CST, we don't have early or late schedule. Mandy brought the Answer Deck, which I bought her for birthday present, to school and everyone took a turn to play it. They kept saying "oh my god, it's hella true/right!" They even said they would buy one after school.
It's easier than Tarrot, and it's pretty "ling." ^ - ^

work in a food brooth

Yesterday from 5:00pm to 9:30pm I worked in a food Booth named Asia in a XXX Center. Asia Booth was selling the chicken wrap, tofu warp, Thai tea, ice lemon juice, ice coffee or something, xiao long bao, xia jiao, cai jiao, chun juan, and something else. Those foods were so EXPENSIVE!!! But many people bought it anyways. My job was making the Chicken Warp and the Tofu Warp. They were pretty easy to make. May be I have a cooking talent? just kidding~
I made a new friend. Her name is Lucy. She was one of the employees from EHSS(me too), and she was very nice! I asked her if I could get a ride to the bus station, cuz her brother would pick her up. It's a long way walking to get to the station, and I was afraid to walk in dark by myself. Luckily, they drove me home instead of dumping me in the bus station. ^0^
I got a light headache when I got home. It wasn't a big deal. I feel better now.

Yesterday after school, I went to the YV seminar meeting with two members, the other two had excuses. Adam is one of the website officers of YV. He came to talk to us about the website where we are going to post up our projects. Nothing special happened, except that I kept eating while he was talking. But who cared, I was hungry.
I brought my umbrella, but it didn't rain.

Two days ago, I watched some bloody films about World War II in US History Class. Those film were so real and terrible that I could felt my blood level dropping down several degree. Their heads, hands, legs, upper body, lower body and even the whole body got bombed into pieces. I saw a live person lying on the ground with his lungs, intestines, and other bloody organs out from his opened stomach. A person was walking around and searching for his lose right hand. A person took off his helmet and a bullet just shoot through his head. A captain dragged a person to keep going, and suddenly a bomb took away that person's lower body. The captain didn't notice it and kept dragging that person's upper body.
Though I don't really like the film, most of classmates loved it. Guys love bloody, fighting scenes.

I'M GOING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got informed that Diru had been here two months ago! oh my god, I couldn't believed that I missed it! An hour before, I didn't even know that they came to SF. and had a concert just right near me. T_T aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...how could I missed it knowing nothing????!!!! I couldn't even remember what I did on that Sunday! X_X
They will come to US on June, but it's in NY , LA and some other places...damn it.

yesterday- presentation

Yesterday, I and other three members went to University of Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy present our community impact project. There were about 30 Youth Venturers including us and also about 30 GSPP students, alumni & professors. There were 7 panels, but we only had to present to three panels. Some had to present four times. I was kind of nervous, but everything went out fine. Those people were really easy going and nice. This meeting was for the Youth Venturers to receive feedback and coaching from the GSPP community. After the coaching session, members were separated from their project group and joined with other Youth Venturers and two or three alumni. This kind of small group mingle they called "networking lunch."

yesterday---Zoo

Yesterday, April 1st, Mom, Annie and I went to Zoo for free as a family trip. Jason didn't go along, because he went there before and he had other plans. We got there around 11:30 am. We took lots of photos. A remarkable animal I saw was a gorilla sat elegantly like an educated lady. I was amazed by its movement and the pair of wisdom eyes. We left around 3:00 pm, and we saw many people lining up to go in. It was a little bit too late, we thought. Anyways, we had a good time.

Lunch

Today is nice weather.
Ms. Kim, Helen and I had a lunch in a Japanese restaurant in Japan Town. We had Crème Brûlée for dessert. That Crème Brûlée was so delicious!

It's my plant---红仙. Yes, it's a cactus. I got it because I won the seed-guessing game. I named it on the way home. I named it 红仙 part of the reasons is because it's a red cactus as you can see. However, there has a hidden meaning besides just it's a red cactus. If you know me well, then you would know it immediatly.

LAB: Grasshopper Dissection

We did a lab on Wed & Thursday. Two people as a group dissected a dead grasshopper, and examined its external and internal anatomy. I was the one who cutted open its abdomen. I knew it was cruel to the grasshopper, but I did it anyways. And it was fun. My partner gave a sharp yell when some liquid spouted out from the grasshopper. Everyone stopped immediately and looked at us. hehehe...I didn't do anything.

今天一大早我出门与MEMBERS在RITA AID门前会合去一座老人院做义工. 今天的题目是讲解灾难前的预防工作, 像逃生路线, 会合地方, 储备粮... 我是PRESENTOR之一喔. 第一次就被人"推"上去说, 不过幸好我还应付得了. 虽然是我们四个女生做PRESENTORS, 但领队的有帮我们BACKUP, 一切都很顺利. 一个钟之后, 我们就和那十几个公公婆婆玩BINGO. 奖品是汤包, 茶包, 饼干, 棉花糖, 虾条面之类的. 玩的都挺开心的.

M has broken up with her first BF. They had been together for about four months. I thought they were different from everybody else. I thought they could go along well and wouldn't break up easily like most high school kids does. But...so funny, is it? funny couple, and so funny love...funny high school kid, even though that guy is a college student. Lab & HAPPY LUNA NEW YEAR!!!

Today in Biotech class, we started our new lab cutting DNA( Lambda) with Hind III, which is a restriction endonucleas. Because it's a micro-molecule experiment, the finished reaction is only 30 ul, a tiny drop of liquid, but it was from four ingredients! It takes two hours to work, so we'll have the result on Tuesday. Today is just the begin of this lab, cuz in the next several days we'll have to use some special methods to "see" the result. We are expecting that the Lambda DNA has been cut into eight fragments by the enzyme. In order to see if it works, we'll need a special tool, and it will not be a microscope because DNA is too small that can't be seen under any microscope. Mr.C told us that we'll use agarose gel to separate the fragments by size from the biggest to the smallest. Then...=_= that's all I know just for now, we'll see what happen in next week.
Three days weekend! Monday is the President Day, that's why.

However, I have an eassy and the French poject need to be finish in this weekend.

By the way, Sunday is Luna New Year,

Today is Feb. 14th, which is Valentine's day. You can see many red heart-shaped balloons floating around in school. Almost everyone has one or more red rose. So romantic.

1) 今天摆街会,可惜天公不做美, 雨下个不停. 因为下雨的关系, 人潮少了, 摊位也少了. 结果我只花了三十分钟逛完了所有摊位.

2) 今天下午我去了ART CENTER FOR VOLUNTEER. 原来他们今天要举行一年一度的RECITAL. 那里的学生都要上台表演, 大多数都是七, 八岁左右的小孩子. 三点半开始到五点, 之后一个钟吃东西, 六点钟开始第二部分. 我吃过东西就离开了, 太晚回家不安全.
Sophia说下一年我会是表演者之一, 呵呵呵, 有点怕怕.

A little dairy

One group got a replied package from Affymetrix, the company they chose for the assigned project. Inside the package, there has 5 literature describing the company, 5 work pads, 5 GeneChip arrays and 5 GeneChip array-liked cookies^^ How wonderful~ Looking at their excited expressions, I wondered if Genentech, our project company, would gives us reply. (We had been written them a letter asking for the annual report, literature, or handbook that kind of things.) Mr.C said there is possible some companies wouldn't give us reply since they're so busy. And you know what, Genentech is a BIG company. So...=_= Bless us. By the way, that GeneChip is soooo cool! I wondered how much it costs. =.=?
